Amos 5:11-17

11: Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor and you take from them burdens of wheat You have built houses of hewn stone but you shall not dwell in them You have planted pleasant vineyards but you shall not drink wine from them 12: For I know your various transgressions and your mighty sins They afflict the just They take a bribe and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right 13: Because of this the prudent shall keep silence in that time For it is an evil time 14: Seek good and not evil that you may live and so YHWH ELOHIM OF ARMIES shall be with you as ye have spoken 15: Hate the evil and love the good and establish judgment in the gate It may be that the YHWH ELOHIM OF ARMIES will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph Revelation 7:8 16: Therefore YHWH ELOHIM OF ARMIES ADONAI says this Wailing shall be in all streets and they shall say in all the highways Alas! alas! and they shall call the farmer to mourning and such as are skillful of lamentation to wailing [Jeremiah 9:17-18] 17: And in all vineyards shall be wailing for I will pass through thee says YHWHסSAMECH [The one who surrounds, protects, strengthens and commands his people to do the same for those who have no strength]

Comments: Amos 5:11-17 There is no such thing as the God of wrath of the Old Testament and the God of love of the New Testament. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever Hebrews 13:8. YHWH ELOHIM is a God of compassion and love 1 John 4:16. His love for those who have no strength includes consequences for those who oppress the poor and the weak, for those who pervert justice.
