Daniel 7:13-14 commentary

 

I saw in the night visions and behold one like THE SON OF MORTALS came with the Clouds of Heaven ^{Hebrews 12:1} and came to the Ancient of days and they brought him near before him And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom that all people nations and languages should serve him His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed

Comments: Daniel 7:13-14 is a companion scripture to Matthew 28:18 where Jesus told his disciples that all powers had been surrendered to him ^[Martin] both the powers in the heavens and the powers upon earth. Add Revelation 20 to that, and we see that the powers under the earth are included in that surrender. Nothing was given to Jesus as a gift, but, rather, everything surrendered to him, because he won the cosmic war.  

Jesus retains his humanity to this day and forever. Though all the fullness continues to reside in him in physical form, he is still human--one of us. Seeing him relate to his father as a human does not detract from his equal and autonomous authority within the Godhead, as Jesus is YHWH. 

It is not possible for mortals to comprehend how this can be, but it is sinful to create a gender-based hierarchy based upon a non-existent hierarchy within the Godhead.

Where there are no consequences for insubordination, there can be no subordination. Therefore, there is no hierarchy within the Godhead. Even in his humanity, Jesus was never for one second subordinate. He was not required to die on the cross. He volunteered for it. As a mortal, he was an obedient son though never a subordinate one. This is a vital distinction. Jesus’ obedience was purely voluntary out of love for those he became, but he could have walked away from the cross without personal consequence. Where there are no consequences for insubordination, there can be no subordination.

What do we think those twelve legions of angels would have been for, the ones that Jesus could have called before allowing himself to be taken and crucified? Jesus didn’t need twelve legions of angels to deliver him from Pilate’s horde. He proved that when he said two words, identifying himself as the God of the Burning Bush, “I AM.” [John 18:5-6] When he said that the armed horde fell backwards onto the ground. Even at that moment, all the fulness of the Godhead resided in Jesus in physical form. So, what would the angel armies have been for? They would have been for the final battle with the powers of darkness who already thought they had just won the war against the powers of light.

Had the princes of this world known they would never have crucified the LORD OF GLORY…. God could have won the cosmic war right then, but if Jesus had walked away from calvary and called for those angel armies, scripture would not have been fulfilled, and humanity would have been lost. 

When the Almighty took on human flesh, it was forever. Though The WORD set aside His glory in heaven for a few short years when He became THE SON ^{[Hebrews 1:5, Psalm 2:7]}, He never lost his deity and authority. He did not think it thievery to be equal with God ^{[Philippians 2:5-8 kjv]}. He boldly claimed Jehovahistic identity ^{[John 18:5-6]}. Jesus was and is fully God and fully human, though, ever since He conquered death at the resurrection, He is no longer mortal.

Amos 9:1-6

  1: I saw ALEPH TAV ^{[FIRST LAST]} ADONAI standing upon the altar and He said Smite the lintel of the door that the posts may shake and cut them in the head all of them and I will slay the last of them with the sword They that flee of them shall not flee away and they that escape of them shall not be delivered [-] 2: Though they are burrowing into Shaul ^{[The place of the unseen]} from there shall Mine hand take them Though they are ascending the heavens from there will I bring them down 3: And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel I will search and take them out from there and though they be hid from My sight in the bottom of the sea from there will I command the serpent and he shall bite them

Comments: ^{Amos 9:2} To whom is [את אדני] ALEPH TAV ADONAI referring that has power to burrow into Shaul, ascend into the heavens, or hide in the bottom of the sea, technologically advanced last-days humans or non-human interdimensional or extra-terrestrial creatures such as angels, Watchers, and others ^{Genesis 6:1-4}? Regardless of whether humans or non-humans are being referenced, Amos 9:2-3 is both a time-gap [-] and a prophetic free-flow [↑↓] sandwiched between Amos chapter 9, verses 1 & 4.

The time-gap in verses :2-3, gives a prophecy that is clearly not intended for the simple people of Amos [who are being spoken to inverse one], then does a U-turn in verse :4, and resumes speaking to the ancients.

4: [↑↓] And though they go into captivity before their enemies from there will I command the sword and it shall slay them and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil and not for good 5: And ADONAI YHWH [OF] THE ARMIES is He that touches the land and it shall melt and all that dwell in it shall mourn and it shall rise up wholly like a flood and shall be drowned as by the flood of Egypt

6: The One building in the heavens THEIR ascents THEIR ascents and THEIR structures over [the] earth ^{Revelation 21:2,10-27} He that calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the face of the earth YHWH is His name

Comments: ^{Amos 9:4-6} The Godhead speaks in first and third person as well as refers to itself (the Godhead is a being) as both singular and plural. We know the Godhead is a triune being from both Jesus and John ^{Matthew 28:19, 1 John 5:7-8}.

Revelation 5 commentary

       1: And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a scroll written within and on the backside sealed with seven seals2: And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose the seals thereof 3: And no one in heaven nor in earth neither under the earth was able to open the scroll neither to look upon [it] 4: And I lamented much because no one was found worthy to open and to read the scroll neither to look upon [it] 5: And one of the elders said to me Weep not behold THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDA THE ROOT OF DAVID[1] has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose the seven seals of [it] 6: And I looked and lo in the midst of the throne and of the four Living Ones and in the midst of the Elders stood a Lamb [which looked] as [if] it had been slain having seven horns[2] and seven eyes which are the seven Spirits of God ^{Revelation 3:1} sent forth into all the earth 7: And he [The Lamb] came and took the scroll out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne 8: And when he had taken the scroll the four Living Ones and four and twenty Elders fell down before the Lamb having every one of them lyres and golden bowls full of incense which are the prayers of holy [ones][3] 9: And they sung a new song saying Thou art worthy to take the scroll and to open the seals[4] thereof for thou wast slain and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred and tongue and people and nation 10: And hast made us unto our God kings and priests and we shall reign on the earth 11: And I beheld and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the Living Beings and the Elders and the number of them [the angels] was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands[5] 12: Saying with a loud voice Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing[6] 13: And every creature which is in Heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea and all that are in them heard I saying Blessing and honor and glory and power be unto him that sits upon the throne and unto the Lamb unto the eons of the eons  14: And the four Living Ones said Amen And the four and twenty Elders fell down and [give] worship to the one  living into the eons of the eons

[1] Here we see, that in Heaven, the Resurrected Christ is called THE ROOT OF DAVID (the physical descendant of King David). This is yet another scriptural evidence that Jesus was raised from the dead physically. He was physically born THE ROOT OF DAVID. He physically died and was physically raised from the dead a descendant of David (raised in the flesh) ^{Acts 2:29-32}. He remains perpetually a physical descendant of David [who was of the tribe of Judah], and JESUS, THE LAMB OF GOD who takes away the sins of the world, will return—physically—a second time, as THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH.  

[2] Horns represent kings, kingdoms/power ^{Daniel 7:24, Daniel 8:21, Zephaniah 1:18-21}.

[3] The intercessory prayers of God’s people—even those offered by his ancient people, who are now in Heaven with him—are still presented before the Throne of the Almighty to this day. They are continually offered with praise and worship before the Living God. So, pray without ceasing…. 

[4] The prophet Daniel was given visions that he could not fully reveal. Instead, he was instructed to write those things in a scroll, then to hide the words by sealing the the scroll, which would remain sealed until the time of end. There is a promise contained within the instructions given to Daniel, that in the latter days, a time when knowledge would be increased and many would swerve/run back and forth, the words would be made clear and the seals would be opened ^{Daniel 12:4, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4, Revelation 1:1, 5:2-5}.

 The Revelation is the unsealing and revealing of the hidden things Daniel was shown concerning the final chapter [the 70^th week] of the history of Daniel’s city, Jerusalem, and Daniel’s people, the Jews, just prior to the 2^nd Coming of the Messiah. Daniel was told the visions he saw would not be fully understood until the time of the end when knowledge would be [exponentially] increased and [depending on which text one reads] people would swerve from the truth [ishttu יֹשְׁטטוּ ]/be traveling back and forth [shuwt שׁוּט]. Both Hebrew words have a similar meaning of turning/swerving/not staying to one course.

[5] There are so many angels around the Throne of God that they are uncountable (the Greeks could count up to a billion and the number was larger than that). And this innumerable host represented only two thirds of the entire angelic creation. The other third are the angels who followed Lucifer when he rebelled against God and fell. Think about this. Extrapolate the numbers. The one third who rebelled and now compose the armies of Satan, must also be an innumerable host. So, could there be a devil “behind every bush” as the saying goes? In Mark 5:1-9, how many devils (some believe these to be fallen angels) demonized only one man ^{Mark 5:1-9}? When Jesus asked the devil’s name, the answer was, “My name is LEGION for we are many.” Is this example given to us, in part, to reveal the ratio of devils [fallen angels] to humans as five thousand to one? A Roman legion was typically composed of around five thousand soldiers. If that is the case, that one person can be oppressed and demonized by five-thousand devils, then the saying “a devil behind every bush” would be an understatement rather than an exaggeration. The good news is God’s angel armies out-number Satan’s by three to one, and the Bible promise to every believer is, “Greater is HE that is in us than he that is in the world (kosmos/world systems).” God has given us both armor and weapons ^{Ephesians 6:10-18} to stand against the spiritual hordes sent against us by the enemy of our souls.

[6] These are all the things Satan tempted Jesus with at the close of his forty-day fast in the wilderness ^{Matthew 4:1-11}
