1:
Brethren if a person be overtaken in a fault you which are spiritual restore
such an one in the spirit of meekness considering yourself lest you also be
tempted 2: Bear ye one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of
Christ 3: For if any think themselves to be something when they are
nothing they deceive themselves 4: But let every one prove their own
works and then shall they have rejoicing in themselves alone and not in another
5: For every one shall bear their own burden 6: Let them who are
taught in the word communicate unto them that teach in all good things 7:
Be not deceived God is not mocked for whatsoever one sows that shall they also
reap 8: For they that sow to their flesh shall of the flesh reap
corruption but they that sow to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life
everlasting 9: And let us not be weary in well doing for in due season
we shall reap Faint not [1] 10:
As we have therefore opportunity let us do good unto all especially to them who
are of the household of faith 11: Ye see how large a letter I have written
unto you with mine own hand 12: As many as desire to make a fair show in
the flesh they constrain you to be circumcised only lest they should suffer
[only to avoid] persecution for the cross of Christ 13: For neither they
themselves who are circumcised keep the law but desire to have you circumcised
that they may glory in your flesh 14: But God forbid that I should glory
save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom the world is crucified unto
me and I unto the world 15: For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision
avails anything nor uncircumcision but a new creation 16: And as many as
walk according to this rule peace be on them and mercy and upon the Israel of
God[2] 17:
From henceforth let none trouble me (I don’t want to hear any more about it!)
for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus 18: Brethren the grace
of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit Amen
[1] The Apostle writes of reaping eternal
life. He goes on to encourage his disciples to “faint not.” This writer does
not subscribe to “Yo-Yo” salvation theology; but there is little doubt that
Paul challenges the doctrine of eternal security, in this verse and elsewhere
in the book of Galatians.
[2] The Israel of God, is the Body of
Christ, but this is not to be confused with replacement theology, which holds
that God is finished with physical Israel and that all promises made to
physical Israel, through Abraham, have been transferred to the Church.
Replacement theology is unscriptural and anti-Semitic to its core. In
fulfillment of prophecy, the Church (entire organism—not any organization)
has entered into the ancient promises through faith. But this in no way negates
the promises to physical Israel, that God surely will fulfill.
Do you have the assurance of
knowing that if you died today, you have Eternal Life?
