Revelation 5 commentary

[1] Here we see, that in Heaven, the Resurrected Christ is called THE ROOT OF DAVID (the physical descendant of King David). This is yet another scriptural evidence that Jesus was raised from the dead physically. He was physically born THE ROOT OF DAVID. He physically died and was physically raised from the dead a descendant of David (raised in the flesh) Acts 2:29-32. He remains perpetually a physical descendant of David [who was of the tribe of Judah], and JESUS, THE LAMB OF GOD who takes away the sins of the world, will return—physically—a second time, as THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH.

[2] Horns represent kings, kingdoms/power Daniel 7:24, Daniel 8:21, Zephaniah 1:18-21.

[3] The intercessory prayers of God’s people—even those offered by his ancient people, who are now in Heaven with him—are still presented before the Throne of the Almighty to this day. They are continually offered with praise and worship before the Living God. So, pray without ceasing….

[4] The prophet Daniel was given visions that he could not fully reveal. Instead, he was instructed to write those things in a scroll, then to hide the words by sealing the the scroll, which would remain sealed until the time of end. There is a promise contained within the instructions given to Daniel, that in the latter days, a time when knowledge would be increased and many would swerve/run back and forth, the words would be made clear and the seals would be opened Daniel 12:4, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4, Revelation 1:1, 5:2-5.

The Revelation is the unsealing and revealing of the hidden things Daniel was shown concerning the final chapter [the 70th week] of the history of Daniel’s city, Jerusalem, and Daniel’s people, the Jews, just prior to the 2nd Coming of the Messiah. Daniel was told the visions he saw would not be fully understood until the time of the end when knowledge would be [exponentially] increased and [depending on which text one reads] people would swerve from the truth [ishttu ×™ֹשְׁטטוּ ]/be traveling back and forth [shuwt שׁוּט]. Both Hebrew words have a similar meaning of turning/swerving/not staying to one course.
[5] There are so many angels around the Throne of God that they are uncountable (the Greeks could count up to a billion and the number was larger than that). And this innumerable host represented only two thirds of the entire angelic creation. The other third are the angels who followed Lucifer when he rebelled against God and fell. Think about this. Extrapolate the numbers. The one third who rebelled and now compose the armies of Satan, must also be an innumerable host. So, could there be a devil “behind every bush” as the saying goes? In Mark 5:1-9, how many devils (some believe these to be fallen angels) demonized only one man Mark 5:1-9? When Jesus asked the devil’s name, the answer was, “My name is LEGION for we are many.” Is this example given to us, in part, to reveal the ratio of devils [fallen angels] to humans as five thousand to one? A Roman legion was typically composed of around five thousand soldiers. If that is the case, that one person can be oppressed and demonized by five-thousand devils, then the saying “a devil behind every bush” would be an understatement rather than an exaggeration. The good news is God’s angel armies out-number Satan’s by three to one, and the Bible promise to every believer is, “Greater is HE that is in us than he that is in the world (kosmos/world systems).” God has given us both armor and weapons Ephesians 6:10-18 to stand against the spiritual hordes sent against us by the enemy of our souls.

[6] These are all the things Satan tempted Jesus with at the close of his forty-day fast in the wilderness Matthew 4:1-11

Revelation 4 commentary

1: After[1] this I looked and behold a door was opened in Heaven and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet Exodus 19:16-19 talking with me which said Come up here [See footnote in John 10:1-3] [2] and I will show you things which must be hereafter 2: And immediately I was in the spirit and behold a throne was set in Heaven and one sat on the throne 3: And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone and there was an iris pronounced ee-ris [Strong’s G2463] [3] round about the throne in sight like unto an emerald 4: And round about the throne were four and twenty thrones and upon the thrones I saw four and twenty elders[4] sitting clothed in white raiment and they had on their heads crowns of gold[5] 5: And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne which are the seven Spirits of God See footnote Revelation 3:1 6: And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal and in the midst of the throne and round about the throne were four living ones full of eyes before and behind 7: And the first living one was like a lion and the second living one like a calf and the third living one had a face as a man and the fourth living one was like a flying vulture 8: And the four living ones had each of them six wings about themselves and they were full of eyes within and they rest not day and night saying Holy, holy, holy, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY WHICH WAS AND IS AND IS TO COME 9: And when those living ones give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne who lives for ever and ever 10: The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever and cast their crowns before the throne saying 11: Thou art worthy O Lord to receive glory and honour and power for thou hast created all things [6] and for thy pleasure they are and were created

[1] There are two chronological references in Revelation 4:1. They are the phrase “After this” and  the word “hereafter.” Everything from chapter three on, occurs after Jesus delivers his messages [of chapters one through three] to the messengers of his Called-out people.

[2] Many believe this summons to be the harpazo, the catching up of those in Christ to meet him [and the resurrected saints] in the air, precipitating all that is described from this point on in The Revelation.

[3] We see the iris pronounced ee-ris in only one other place in the New Testament and that is in Revelation 10:1, where John sees an angel with an iris on his head. This angel is not symbolic. He is real.

The Greek word iris must be where the English word for the “iris” of our eyes comes from, and it is used only twice in the New Testament [both times in The Revelation]. Once it is seen encircling the throne, and then again encircling an angel’s head. Both times, iris is translated as rainbow, yet John described it, not as a prism, but, as a single color—green Revelation 1:3. It is possible [but not certain] that the iris John saw, could be God’s qesheth Bow Genesis 9:13 [the rainbow] that God gave as a token of his promise never to destroy the earth by water again Genesis 9:11-17. Ancient Greek writers did use the word iris for rainbow, but that does not mean the biblical writer meant the same thing. It should be noted that John was actually seeing into Heaven. The Heavenly things he described were literally real. The throne in Heaven is not symbolic. It is real. He who sat on the throne is not symbolic. He is real. The iris encircling the throne is not symbolic. It is real.

In The Revelation, we get glimpses into Heaven itself, and in 4:3 can see one of the origins of the pagan symbolism of the halo. If the iris (ee-ris) John saw is indeed the token of God’s promise never to destroy humanity by a flood of water again, then Satan’s use of the iris means just the opposite. It is his reminder that he fully intends to come in like a flood and utterly destroy 'âdâm See definitions in “Special Features” of this commentary from the face of the earth.

Because Satan wants to be God, he counterfeits everything he can that is of God. Using symbols of things in Heaven, he creates deceitful and deadly counterfeits of things that are real. The ancient symbol of the halo [seen in many “christian’ images] is a satanic counterfeit of God’s iris. The enemy of our souls confiscated God’s iris to use in his ancient deception of the mother and son religion (that descended from Nimrod and his mother in Shinar [ancient Babylon]. The enemy of our souls has confiscated God’s qesheth Bow Genesis 9:13 [the rainbow] as the symbol of both New Age philosophy and homosexuality. We must never forget that humans are caught in the middle of a great cosmic battle. But by God’s Spirit and through his Word, we have hope and confidence for both time and eternity. The Name of the LORD is a strong tower. The righteous run into it and are safe.

God even placed an iris (ee-ris) in space: The Helix Nebula (also known as “The Eye of God”) https://www.space.com/17901-amazing-helix-nebula-space-eye-photo.html

[4] From the end of Chapter three on, throughout the rest of The Revelation, the Called-Out are never seen on earth again, for they have been called out. The Good Shepherd has descended from Heaven with a great shout, with the voice of the Arch-Angel, and with the Trump of God, to call his saints out to meet him in the air. The Bridegroom has come for his Bride, and he takes his Bride to that place that has been prepared for them John 14:1-3. The Called-Out are now in Heaven. The elders in Revelation 4:4, belong to that group 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18, and the time foretold by the prophet, Joel, when 'âdâm could simply “call” upon the Name of the LORD to be saved [the time which began on the Day of Pentecost], is now consummated. On earth, from this point on, 'âdâm can no longer simply call on the name of the Lord to saved but must endure to the end Matthew 24:9-13.

[5] The twenty four elders are resurrected and raptured saints [Rev 5:8-10]. They have already stood before the judgement seat of Christ [which takes place in Heaven]. They have received their rewards, are wearing crowns, and are being greatly honored by God. They are sitting on thrones—ruling with him. Twelve of them are likely the twelve apostles of the lamb. Jesus promised them that they would sit with him in his throne Matthew 19:28. Who might the other twelve be? Are the other twelve seats dedicated to certain ones Revelation 21:12-14

[6] Who created ALL things? The one who is sitting on the throne—the Almighty. Who is sitting on the throne? The one who was and is and is coming again. The one the living ones call the Almighty. Who is it the living ones and the twenty four elders are worshiping in the last three verses of Revelation chapter four? It is Jesus. Jesus is the Almighty. Jesus created ALL things. Jesus is Jehovah. Here we see that it is the Almighty who was and is and is coming again. Jesus is God.
