2 Thessalonians 2: Predestination Bible Prophecy Rapture the AntiChrist

1: Now we beseech you brethren by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering together unto him 1 Thess 4:16-18 2: That you be not soon shaken in mind or be troubled neither by spirit nor by word nor by letter as from us[1] as that the Day of Christ The Great Tribulation is at hand 3: Let no one deceive you by any means for that day shall not come except there come apostasia first[2] and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition[3] 4: Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped so that he as God sits in the temple of God showing himself that he is God Matthew 24:15-21 5: [Do] you not remember that when I was yet with you I told you these things [4] 6: And now you know [who] withholds that he might be revealed in his time 7: For the mystery of iniquity does already work only [the one who] now restrains will [continue to do so] until taken out ek [of] the midst[5]  8: And then shall be revealed that lawless [one] whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming[6] 9: Even him whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders[7]  Revelation 16:13-14  10: And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved 11: And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie 12: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness[8] 13: But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you brethren beloved of the Lord because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth [9] 14: Whereunto he called you by our gospel to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ 15: Therefore brethren stand fast and hold the traditions[10] which you have been taught whether by word or our letter 16: But himself our Lord Jesus the Christ and our God and the Father who loved us and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace 17: Comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work

[1] It appears as if someone may have been writing to the Thessalonian Christians posing as Paul.

[2] The English word, “apostasy,” comes from the Greek word, apostasia: (STRONGS NT G646) ἀποστασία a falling away, defection, apostasy. One of the last days signs of the impending resurrection and harpazo, is widespread defection from biblical faith. Some teach a last-days revival, but this is in contradiction to the Word of God, which teaches just the opposite.

[3] Only one other person in scripture is called, “the Son of Perdition,” and that is Juda[s]. Although the spirit of antichrist has been present through-out history, this passage, confirms the personal identity of the man who will be known as the antichrist. This person, who [according to 2 Thessalonians 2] will make his identity known after the resurrection and the harpazo, is called by many names in the writings of Christians and Jews (The Assyrian, the Hammer of the Whole Earth, the King of Babylon, the Wicked One, the Man of Sin, The Beast).

[4] From this verse, we understand that Paul spoke on the topic of Bible prophecy far more than he wrote about it.

[5] Many scholars believe this is a reference to the consummation of the time of “Christ IN You,” [which began on the day of Pentecost] when those whose bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit are changed and caught out at the harpazo rapture.

[6] The Second Coming of Christ will be the most spectacular event this world has ever seen. He will be seen in his Kingdom appearance that was witnessed at the transfiguration. He will be accompanied not only by all the resurrected and harpazo’d saints but by myriads of angel armies and the chariots and horses of fire seen by Elijah. The brilliance of this spectacle cannot be understated.

[7] Satan can transform himself into an angel of light. Is it any wonder that his ministers are transformed into ministers of righteousness? God still does miracles, but Revelation chapter sixteen shows that Satan can also perform so-called miracles. That is why believers of all ages have been warned to test all things by the Word of God.

[8] Jesus Yeshua died for the sins of the world. Iesous rose from the dead that all who place their faith in Him—the risen Son of God—can have everlasting life. Jesus clarified the issue of who has eternal life and who is condemned for eternity, in his conversation with Nikodemos John 3:13-21

[9] Many are called but few are chosen. Paul Paulos wrote to Timotheos, that it was God’s will that all be saved. Every person ever born is called and chosen to live forever with God. That is God’s perfect will. But there is only one way to access that life, and that is through belief of the Truth. Truth is a person—Jesus. Jesus said few would find eternal life. Jesus said most of humanity would follow the broad road to destruction [Jesus died for the sins of the world, but the world will not be saved]. The narrow way is not a path—it is a person. Faith in the Risen Son of God [who said of himself, that he is the only way, the only truth, and the only life] is the only way to eternal life.

[10] Paul is not referring, here, to the traditions of the Jews [which Jesus soundly condemned as being a chief cause of transgression] but rather to new, faith-building, traditions of the New Covenant.
