John 18:36 Jesus on the Space Time Continuum

36: Iesous answered My kingdom is not from this kosmos[1] if my kingdom were from this kosmos then would my servants fight that I should not be delivered to the Jews but at this time is my kingdom not from here

[1] Jesus called Satan the prince of this kosmos John 12:31, John 14:30, John 16:11 Paul also called Satan the god of this kosmos 2 Corinthians 4:4 The kosmos can refer to either planet earth or to all of the planets—the entire universe, the space time continuum. What is interesting about Jesus’ statement about his kingdom not being from this kosmos (as opposed to some other kosmos), is the implication that this kosmos (universe/space time continuum) may not be the only kosmos God ever created. The God of creation lives outside the space time continuum we understand to be our universe. He created it and the boundaries of it. We leave it to the reader to meditate on this thought.

Untranslated words in this verse:

Iesous Pronounced Ee-A-Soos G2424 translated Jesus: Yeshua is the Hebrew name, and its English spelling is “Joshua.” Iesous is the Greek transliteration of the Hebrew name, and its English spelling is “Jesus.” Thus, the names “Joshua” and “Jesus” are essentially the same; both are English pronunciations of the Hebrew and Greek names for our Lord. For examples of how the two names are interchangeable, see Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8 in the KJV. In both cases, the word Iesous refers to the Old Testament character Joshua. Because of disparities in English translation of the word, Iesous will remain untranslated throughout the main body of scripture this commentary. https://gotquestions.org/Yeshua-Jesus.html

Kosmos G2889 The earth, the world/universe, the space time continuum, the system of this world/arranged order of things, the people who inhabit the earth
