Some have been given the gift of Discerning of Spirits. Others have not. But all have been given the gift of the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD—THE BIBLE. We worship God through his risen Son based upon what has already been WRITTEN.[vii] We discern what is of God and what is not of God in the same way. But if we are hearers of the Word and not doers of the Word, if we heap teachers to ourselves simply because what they teach makes us “feel good,” then the scriptures are clear that our discernment will be seriously distorted, and we are headed for a fall.[viii]

The Bible tells us our physical bodies are beneficially or adversely affected by distorted discernment, so it is not advisable to take lightly anything that may interfere with our understanding of the expressed, will of God according to his written Word.[ix]

If someone claims to be a great power of God simply because they perform signs and wonders, examine their doctrine (and lifestyle) against the light of scripture. This is a critical concept to grasp in understanding relationship roles between males and females within the Body of Christ.

Read more HERE

1 Corinthians 11:10 Because of the Angels

1 Corinthians 11:10 says, “For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.”It is generally inferred and more than implied that because the woman was deceived and sinned first, that females are inherently more naïve, gullible, and prone to fall prey to seduction than males. And that because of this, her perpetual consequence this side of Heaven, for her personal protection and for the good of everyone else, is, from her birth to her death, to be placed under male authority. A close look at the original language the Bible was written it makes it clear that the general understanding of the first part of 1 Corinthians 11:10 needs to be challenged, but it is the last few words of the verse that seem so mysterious. In fact, most Bible scholars honestly admit to being baffled by it. That is the portion of the verse that reads, “because of the angels.”

When looking for answers, it is important to be certain that we are asking the right questions. And a good place to begin solving the mystery of 1 Corinthians 11:10, is to ask what it might be that womankind has in common with the angels. There is not much that humankind has in common with angels—either male or female, but womankind does have the distinction of having DECEPTION in common with angels. Was not the angel, Lucifer, deceived into thinking that he could be as God? The scriptures record that the highest ranking angel was deceived, sinned and subsequently caused the fall of one third of all the angels who chose to follow him into perdition. The phrase, bruise thy head, in Genesis 3:15, means to strip of power or to crush (the head representing rank or authority). But until such time as the serpent would be stripped of his power, the righteous dead were held captive, for their protection, in a place called Abraham’s Bosom located somewhere in the heart of the earth.

This place was beautiful enough to be called paradise, but it was not Heaven (Luke 16:22-25, Ezekiel 31:16, Job 14:13). When Jesus ascended to Heaven after his resurrection he took these “captive” souls with him, but first he had to descend into the “lower parts of the earth” to get them (Ephesians 4:8-10). This is one of the proof scriptures that Jesus never suffered in hell. How could he have suffered in hell for 3 days when he told the thief, who was crucified with him, that they would be together in Paradise on the very day they both died?

According to the words of Christ, the price [for sin] was completely paid while he was still hanging on the cross (John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost). There was no need for him to suffer further in hell.

We see from scripture that Jesus was quite busy during the time his body lay in the tomb, and he didn’t spend any of that time burning in hell fire (Luke 23:43, 1 Peter 3:19-20).

Had Christ failed in his mission and refused to die on the cross during that long ago Passover, possession of those captive souls, in Abraham’s Bosom/Paradise, would have defaulted to Satan and been doomed—forever—along with him. Not only would they have all been without hope, but you and I would be without hope as well. But we are not left without hope. We have a living hope in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ if we will come to him. Jesus said, “He that heareth my word and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life (John 5:24).

Romans 10:8-13
8: But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10: For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11: For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12: For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Predestination: Committed to Dishonor—Fitted For Destruction, Romans 9:21,23,22, Romans 8:29

What is meant in the ninth chapter of Romans where the apostle speaks of vessels made to dishonor and fitted to destruction?

If that is truly the case, If we were created for either of these things from the moment of our birth, then we are all completely predestined to honor or dishonor, eternal life or eternal destruction, so why bother preaching the gospel to anyone or attempt to live lives pleasing to God—our fate is already determined…right?

Romans 9:21 (KJV) says that God makes some vessels unto honor and other vessels are made unto dishonor. Romans 9:22 says God endures with much long suffering the vessels fitted to destruction.

The scriptures say some vessels were made unto honor or dishonor, not that they were made for these things. That is an important distinction. And the vessels in verse 22 are fitted to destruction, not fitted for destruction. That is relevant. Remember, every word of scripture is God breathed, even the little words.

The word “makes” in verse 21 comes from the Greek word poieo. Poieo is a root word with a literal translation of make or do. But, depending on the context, this word has an extremely wide variety of applications, some of which include the meanings of commit, ordain, raise up, or appoint.

It would not contradict the context of Romans chapter to nine for the wording “God commits some vessels unto honor” to be substituted for “God makes some unto honor...” But that reading does give a slightly different perspective of the passage.

God raised up and appointed Saul to be King over Israel. Saul made some personally destructive choices. Yet he was also given ample opportunity to make righteous choices. Saul was given personal freedom to do things differently.

Pharaoh could have done things differently. The apostle does not say Pharaoh was made for dishonor and destruction, he says he was made, or committed, unto these things.

When was he committed unto these things? From the moment of his conception in the mind of God? No, Romans 9:22 makes it clear that Pharaoh was not committed unto dishonor and destruction until after God had endured his sinful choices with much long suffering.

Romans 9:22 speaks of vessels of wrath fitted to destruction—not for destruction. That is a critical distinction.

The Greek word translated “fitted” in the King James Bible is, “Katartizo.” Katartizo has a literal translation of “complete thoroughly,” “adjust” or “repair,” which does not seem to make sense in this application (Romans 9:22) until we understand that Katartizo is derived from yet another Greek word, “Katah.” Katah is a root word meaning “down.”

In light of the meanings of Katartizo and Katah, the clear implication of what Romans 9:17-22 [22]) is saying is that vessels adjusted down to destruction, are committed to that destruction only after God endures their sinful choices with much long suffering.

1 Timothy 2:3-5 clearly states that it is not God’s will that any should perish but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth. If it is not God’s will that any should perish, then He is definitely not going to violate His own will by creating any of us for the specific purpose of deliberately destroying us.

However, in his foreknowledge of all things, he knows who will or who will not choose life and godliness (Romans 8:29).

According to Romans 9:22, we are all given opportunity to choose life. Jesus died for the sins of the world--not just for the sins of the predestined. Predestination is according to foreknowledge (Romans 8:29). there is a grace period in which the door to salvation remains open (today is the accepted time...today is the day of salvation--2 Corinthians 6:2). Today, all we have to do is choose life. If we refuse to accept Christ, after the period of much long suffering is past, the opportunity is withdrawn—the door is closed. It is at that point that God’s perfect plan for our life is adjusted down, and from then on we are committed to, ordained to…destruction.

God’s power will be revealed, and his name will be declared throughout all the earth, regardless of what our individual choices are. And he can still use any of us in order to bring about his purposes (re: Pharaoh, Judas and Caiaphas).

Eternal Godhead Revealed in Genesis: Romans 1:20

What is the Godhead, and where in Genesis is the Eternal Godhead revealed?

The book of Colossians tells us the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Jesus bodily (Colossians 2:9 kjv), and we read in Romans 1:20 that the invisible things of God are clearly seen from the creation of the world…even His eternal power and Godhead.

People may be able to argue whether or not there is such a thing as the trinity, because the word trinity does not appear in scripture, but what about the Godhead?
Since scripture assures us the Godhead is revealed in the creation, the logical question would be to ask where in the creation is it revealed? That naturally takes us to the book of Genesis. In the very first chapter of Genesis (1:26), God said let “us” make man in “our” image.

Was God communing with the angels when he said this? He could not have been as there is no indication in scripture that angels are made in the image of God. God reserved that incredible privilege for mankind alone. Was the conversation recorded in Genesis 1:26 an example of what is known as “plurality of majesty” used by royalty when referring to themselves alone as “we” and “our”? God does not imitate man. The plurality of majesty came about from royal persons imitating the way God referenced Himself in Genesis 1:26, not the other way around.

Just as the apostle assures us in Romans chapter one, Genesis 1:26 clearly reveals a conversation between the members of the Godhead. Many scriptures shed more light on this. Jesus, the Son of God (also called the “Word” in John 1:1), is a member of the Godhead. We understand that from the clear language of Colossians 2:9. The Holy Spirit is a member of the Godhead. In Acts chapter five, the apostles clearly stated that lying to the Holy Spirit was the same as lying to God. And nowhere in scripture is there a clearer statement concerning the Godhead than in 1 John 5:7-8, where we read that there are three in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and that these three are one.

There is no doubt 1 John 5:7-8 (also called the Johanneum or Johannine Comma) is authentic. Detractors cannot account for early references (see the book, MY BIBLE DOESN’T SAY THAT! by Jocelyn Andersen).

The eternal Godhead was revealed in the creation of man. Man is made in God’s image, and that is a triune image—a composite unity. Man is a composite unity. Man is spirit, has a soul, and lives in a body. In man, there are three, and these three are one. Man, like the God in whose image he is created, is a three in one. Even if the existence of the soul is denied and only the spirit and body acknowledged, the fact that man is a composite unity is not changed.

The revelation of the Godhead in the creation of man is but one of the ways the invisible things of God is revealed in the creation of the world.

Joel's Army: Joel 2:11, Who or What is the LORDS Army Described Joel 2:11

Joel's army is described in Joel 2:11, where the prophet predicts that an army, described as the LORDS army, will one day cover the land wreaking terror, pain, and destruction, but since Joel calls it the LORDS army, there is much confusion and debate about whether or not this army is a righteous host rather than demonic.

How can a demon (or demonized) host be called the LORDS army? The answer to that question is quite simple—the LORD calls the shots regardless of who is carrying out his will, and there are numerous examples in scripture of the LORD using Satan and/or his fallen angels in order to carry out his will or judgments. One clear example of this is found in 1 Kings 22:19-23 where the prophet Micaiah reveals God’s strategy [in using demonic spirits] for bringing down King Ahab for all his wickedness in leading Israel into Baal worship.

Micaiah is given a glimpse into Heaven where he sees the LORD surrounded by HIS armies, and asks who will persuade Ahab to go into a battle that would end in his death, and we read of a spirit volunteering to be a lying spirit in the mouths of Ahab’s prophets. No righteous angel could be a lying spirit, so the spirit that stepped up to the plate must have been a fallen angel.

It is interesting to note that the armies of the LORD that stood on his right side and on his left side included both holy angels and fallen angels (as evidenced by the lying spirit that came forward at the LORD’S challenge). Matthew 25:33, tells us that the sheep (righteous) are placed on the right hand of the King and the goats (unrighteous) are placed on his left hand. By that, it can be concluded that the armies on God’s right hand were holy angels and the armies on his left were fallen angels. That conclusion is legitimately debatable but nevertheless a valid consideration.

Like the lying spirit we read about in 1 Kings 22, the army described in Joel chapter two, is anything but a righteous army. But both the spirit and the army are agents of God in the evil tasks they are assigned to accomplish. The army Joel describes causes much pain and leaves widespread destruction in its wake.
The army Joel describes corresponds closely with the demon army described by John in the Revelation (Revelation 9). Very likely it is the same army. This demon army will bring great destruction during the Time of Jacob’s Trouble (The Great Tribulation).

The LORD’S army described in the book of Joel, is a demon (or demonized) army, used by the LORD in executing his judgment on a rebellious world during The Great Tribulation. It is called the LORD’S army, not because it is a righteous army, but because it is executing the will of God.

Ephesians 4:11-14 Ministry Gifts

Ephesians 4:11-14 lists the ministry gifts bestowed by Christ Himself on the Church. They are as follows: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers.

The gift of the evangelist is rather forthright. The evangelist is a gifted soul-winner. The gift is an outreach ministry carrying a strong message of salvation towards unbelievers. The ministry gift of pastor is generally exalted above all gifts in today’s Church with the pastor at the top of an ecclesiastical hierarchy. This is Satan’s perversion of the gift and should not be so. The gift of pastor is a gift designed to minister to the spiritual needs of local congregations—to the care and nurturing of believers. The gift of teacher is likewise a discipleship ministry to believers. Although the application of these gifts have become somewhat corrupted in the hands of men, few have issues with the validity of the ministry gifts of evangelist, pastor or teacher. However, the gifts of apostles and prophets are extremely controversial and have either been dismissed as obsolete, or have been misunderstood, perverted, and abused.

The ministry gift of prophet is a gift generally directed towards God’s people and has not changed in function from Old Testament to New. Prophets have always spoken under the direct inspiration of God and often showed God’s people their transgression. God’s New Testament people transgress just as his Old Testament people did. God has not left us without the gift of the prophet to help us. The Word of God recorded in 2 Chronicles 20:20 has not changed. If we believe the Lord our God, we will be established. If we believe his prophets, we shall prosper.

Prophets are given much insight into people, situations and even the future, but many today, who present themselves as “prophets,” are in reality nothing but soothe-sayers passing Satan’s counterfeit gift of divination off as "prophecy." This an abominable perversion of the legitimate gift of prophecy and should be rejected by God's people. Knowing and obeying the Word of God in tandem with the guidance of the Holy Spirit of God helps us discern the real from the counterfeit.

The gift of apostle carries with it leadership authority and combines the gifts of prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher. Apostles spread the gospel both locally and in faraway places where it has never been heard, and scripture records that they stay and nurture their new converts while they develop new leaders—pastors, teachers, etc., in each location.

Many who are designated as “missionaries” are in reality apostles, but prejudice against the ministry gifts of apostle and prophet along with prejudice against women in the ministry has caused the gifts of these dedicated workers [to the cause of Christ] to go unrecognized. This should not be so. The scriptures command us to recognize those who labor among us.

Ephesians 4:12-14 tells us why the ministry gifts have been bestowed and also how long we can expect them to be active in the Church. They are bestowed in order to build up and complete the Body of Christ until we all come into the unity of the faith and are mature in every way. That will not happen until Jesus comes. Therefore, the ministry gifts are still needed and are still being bestowed.

How Do We Worship in Spirit and in Truth? John 4:24

In John 4:23-24, Jesus declared that God is a Spirit and that He must be worshipped in spirit and in truth.

How do we do that?

Does worship consist of gathering at church every Sunday and singing beautiful and deeply emotional songs along with a congregation? That may be a component of worship—as long as the worshipper is worshipping God in spirit and in truth and not simply worshipping the music. Music is a common inordinate affection (Colossians 3:5). But how can we know we are worshipping THE ONE TRUE GOD in spirit and in truth?

One young professing Christian was absolutely convinced he was worshipping the ONE TRUE GOD in spirit and in truth. He posted to his blog, for all the world to read, how he loved to “WORSHIP!!!!!” Yet a mere year or so after posting those words, his living testimony brought a reproach upon the name of Jesus Christ as he led a defeated Christian life living in fornication with a member of the opposite sex without the benefit of Holy Matrimony. What happened?

What did Jesus mean by the words “in spirit and in truth?”

The original languages the Bible was written in make it possible to translate the words of Jesus to read, “by Spirit and by Truth.” That rendering simplifies matters considerably. For there is only ONE SPIRIT by which we can approach God and be received, and that is the HOLY SPIRIT. The HOLY SPIRIT lives within those who belong to Jesus Christ. And there is only one TRUTH which leads to eternal life and that is the person of JESUS, the ONLY CHRIST, who is revealed by the HOLY SPIRIT in the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD—the BIBLE.

The only worship THE ONE TRUE GOD will accept is that which is offered by His people by way of his RISEN SON, through His HOLY SPIRIT, and based upon the TRUTH revealed within the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD—THE BIBLE. That is worth considering the next time we think we may be worshipping when in actuality we may be only singing beautiful and deeply emotional songs along with a congregation.

Read your Bible every day, always picking up today where you left off yesterday. They will be responsible for teaching their children, and the teachings they will be passing on to their children will be coming out of Jerusalem.

Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Zechariah all tell us that the millennial worship of the Lord will include Holy Days, Sabbaths and Sacrifices (Isaiah 56:7, Jeremiah 33:17-18, 66:22-23, Ezekiel 40:38, Zechariah 14:11).

The sons of Zadok will be singled out and honored to serve as priests of the Lord during this time (Levites of other lineage will serve as ministers but will not come close to the Lord by offering sacrifices), but exactly who are the sons of Zadok, and why are they chosen to be honored so?

Zadok was descended from Phinehas who was the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron. (Exodus 6:23-25, 1 Chronicles 24:3, 1 Chronicles 6:50-53).

Both of these men (both Phinehas and Zadok) distinguished themselves greatly in the eyes of the Lord--and God doesn't overlook or forget about those who love and obey him--ever .

Just as David was promised that he would never lack a man to sit on his throne, because Phinehas dared to stand for the Lord when no one else would (Numbers 25:6-9), he was promised an everlasting priesthood (the King James Bible is the only version that I know of that is consistent in translating the "everlastings." They are found throughout the Word of God in reference to the millenium and beyond--see "Bible Versions" in the navigation bar)

Among the descendants of Phinehas, the sons of Zadok were singled out to be the recipients of the everlasting priesthood and serve in the millenial temple (Zadok was a priest during the reign of David who distinguished himself by staying true to the Lord while others of the priestly line went astray ( Ezekiel 12-15, 1 Chronicles 24:3).
<img width='1' height='1' A

Question: Isn’t the New King James Version essentially the same as the KING JAMES VERSION only without the "Thee's and Thou's?"

Answer: No, it is not. The Old Testament of the KING JAMES VERSION is translated from the Ben Chayyim Masoretic Text, which was edited by a born again Masorite Jew. Many Christians are surprised to find the texts underlying the NKJV are not the same texts the KJV is translated from...

Just as Hort and Westcott utterly rejected the Majority/Received Text (the N.T. of the KJV is translated from) for their Greek New Testament, and chose instead the deeply flawed Egyptian Minority texts, the translators of the New King James Version rejected the Ben Chayyim Masoretic text for the Old Testament and chose instead a Masoretic text that differs significantly from the text the King James Version was translated from.

In addition to using corrupted texts in translating the Old Testament portion of the NKJV, the Egyptian Minority texts were consulted and used to some extent in the New testament portion. Although the translators attempted to retain the familiar rhyme and rhythm of the KING JAMES VERSION, and it does adhere in places to the Received Text *it does not entirely do so. That means the texts of both the Old and New Testaments of the New King James Version are corrupted.

That makes the NKJV just another counterfeit Bible, albeit a slightly better counterfeit than most *which makes it far more dangerous.

Just as tobacco and marijuana are known as *gateway drugs to the harder stuff, the New King James Version is a gateway as well by fostering acceptance of other corrupt Bible versions.

Question: Who are Hort and Westcott?

Answer: Professor Fenton John Anthony Hort and Bishop Brooke Foss Westcott were the [human] driving forces behind the Revised Standard Version.

These two Anglicans formulated the theory that the Received text (which the N.T. of KING JAMES VERSION is translated from) is full of errors and that the Egyptian Minority Texts (that they based their Greek New Testament on) were pure texts and completely error-free (an absolutely preposterous claim). Their theory is known as The Hort Westcott Theory and the Greek text they created (or one virtually identical to it) is used to train ministers in almost every English speaking Bible college in the world today.

Facts pertaining to both Hort and/or Westcott:

Involvement in the occult (séances etc.)

Professed disbelief in either the divine inspiration of scripture or the diety and physical resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Hated the idea of the blood atonement, hence preference for manuscripts which deleted references to both the blood and deity of Christ (see insidious footnotes, omissions and changes to Colossians 1:14 and 1 Timothy 3:16 in most Bibles).

Hort and Westcott were unsaved men. No one can be saved who denies either the Diety or the resurrection of Jesus Christ (see John 8:24, Romans 10:9-10,13).

Their scholarship and fitness for handling the Word of God was challenged by godly scholars of their day. And godly scholars today continue to stand against the heresy that has flooded the church as a result of the translations based on the Greek New Testament these two unregenerate men produced. In more recent years, many have attempted to distance themselves from the obviously flawed Hort Wescott Greek New Testament, but the United Bible Society's Nestle-Aland Greek text (used in its stead) is virtually identical to it.

This means that almost every modern Version--including the New King James Version--is heavily influenced by the work of two men who demonstrated absolutely no fear of God during the course of their lifetimes. All versions resulting from their work and influence should be rejected.

Question: Why should we trust the KING JAMES VERSION?

Answer: The King James Version is based on texts that can be traced to Apostolic times.
There are over 5000 extant copies of Majority/Received Text manuscripts, texts and versions available today that exhibit the agreement needed to be considered reliable. These texts come from all over the world and can be traced to many different time periods--including the time period of the the early church.

The Received Text is not riddled with errors. That claim is made only in connection with the Minority Texts which greatly contradict the Majority Texts in denying the blood atonement, deity, and virgin birth of Christ.

For more information on this subject, the book, MY BIBLE DOESN'T SAY THAT!, goes into great detail and is available online at www.Lulu.com/JocelynAndersen .

The E-book at www.Lulu.com/JocelynAndersen is available free for download.

If you would like a print copy but cannot afford one, call (863) 614-0439 to record your request along with your name and complete mailing address. It all sounds well and good. The lesson is clear. We should not love money. We should not allow gold and silver to become our gods. But there is a serious problem with this passage, at least some say there is a problem, and that is the fact that gold and silver do not rust!

Except...in the case of nuclear fallout. Nuclear fallout can cause both gold and silver to rust.

Isn't it wonderful that the Bible is never wrong?

Genesis 12:1 Matthew 10:37 Discipleship 101

Get thee out of thy country...And from thy kindred...And from thy father's house...Unto a land that I will show thee. Genesis 12:1

These words were spoken not only to Abram, but to every soul who ever comes to Christ.

When we come to Christ, we become sons of God, citizens of Heaven. No, nor family pride either.

We should be looking for the land that he will show us. But the simple truth is this. God cannot bring us into His land--The Promised Land--unless we are first willing to renounce both national and familial pride and allegiance.

Jesus backs this up when he tells us that, "He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me. Does it mean that socially, Noah's family was fit for polite society? That Noah had a good pedigree?

Yes and No. Polite society had nothing to do with the fact that Noah had a good pedigree--which he did. The answer to this question can be found in Genesis chapter 6 verses 2 and 4, where we are told that the sons of God took the daughters of men as wives and had children by them.

Noah was perfect in his generations because none of his ancestors nor his three sons had any traffic with "The Sons of God." No intermarriages between the sons of God and the daughters of men had taken place within his family tree.

Was this simply a cultural thing? Had national identities already begun to form within the relatively new human population?

It is commonly suggested that the "Sons of God" were descendents of Seth (as Noah was), and that the "Daughters of Men" were the descendents of Cain. There is no scriptural basis, however, for this line of reasoning.

Scripturally, we find that Adam was a son of God (Matthew 3:38). We find that angels, both fallen angels and holy angels, are called sons of God (Job 1:6). But from the fall of man until the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we do not find another human besides Adam ever referred to as a "Son of God."

When Adam fell, he forfeited the right for his descendents to be called "Sons of God." That right was not restored until Jesus came and paid the penalty for Adam's sin. We read about this in John 1:12 where it says, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God..."

After Adam sinned, not a single human had any power to be called a "son of God"--not even Noah, who was perfect in his generations and walked with God.

So who were these sons of God who took the daughters of men as wives and had children by them?

They were angels who defected from God. The very same ones who are presently imprisoned in Tartaras for leaving their first estate (1 Peter 3:19-20, Jude 6). These angels married the daughters of men and bore children who were quite magnificent. Magnificent...giant... bullies, according to the Word of God (check out the Hebrew).

Noah's family tree was not tainted by this unholy union between the daughters of Audawm (Adam) and the Ben Elohiym (sons of God) .

This was very important, because if it had been, then the prophecies concerning the Messiah would have become null and void. But God's Word always comes to pass, and God rescued Noah and his family. And Jesus, the Messiah, was born of their perfect lineage.

Because of that, those of us who call on his name to be saved are given power to become Sons of God.

Is there really any power we'd rather have?

Psalm 30:5 Weeping May Endure for a Night

Psalm 30:5 includes the phrase, "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." This phrase is probably most often connected to weeping through hard times with the hope that they won't last--a "this too shall pass" sort of thing. There is no real scriptural problem with that interpretation. It is generally true that this too shall pass...

What is not generally realized, is that this phrase, taken in context, is referring to a specific event revealed in Bible Prophecy a horrific event that will cause much weeping--an event that will pass. Then the weeping will be replaced with joy.

The entire verse says this: For his anger endureth but a moment; in His favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Psalm 30:5 begins by referring to the anger of the Lord and how it lasts but a moment (a very brief period of time). The weeping, in this verse, is a direct reference to his anger, and the length of time for the anger and the weeping is given--a night.

How does one get Bible prophecy from this verse? By comparing it with other verses that are without doubt, directly connected with this one. Below are only two examples. There are more.

Isaiah 26:20-21 reveals that a specific time is coming when the Lord will come "out of his place" to punish the inhabitants of the earth. Isaiah reveals that his indignation (anger) will last only for a "moment." (same Hebrew word used in Psalm 30:5. Your Bible doesn't say "moment?" Better get a King James--a little "while" and a moment are definitely not the same thing, so one of our Bibles is wrong. And the evidence weighs heavily in favor of the manuscripts the King James Version was translated from)

John 9:4 Jesus makes the statement: I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day; for the "night" cometh when no man can work.

In each of the above verses, both Jesus and Isaiah are referring to a specific period of wrath that is coming on the inhabitants of the earth. Joel referred to this time as a dark and a cloudy day (Joel 2). Jeremiah calls it "The Time of Jacob's Trouble." Jesus also called it a time of "Great Tribulation."

Thank God this terrible time that has not yet arrived. So we must be about our Father's business in sharing the good news of Jesus, the only Christ--God's Christ--who came and, through the blood of his cross, made peace with God for us.

Right now, in the time of favor (1 Corinthians 6:2) , we can call upon the name of the Lord to be saved (Romans 10:9-10,13). But during the time of indignation, only those who "endure to the end" will be saved (Matthew 24:13).
