[1] Matthew 22:36-40 These four verses sum up all the Law and ALL the Prophets. Romans 13:8-10 says LOVE is the fulfilling of the Law.
[2] Ephesians 6:2-3 and Deuteronomy 5:16 Honoring parents was the first commandment that came with a promise attached to it.
[3] This is a plainly written promise. If we do thus and such, then God will do thus and such. In this case the promise is divine guidance. We do not have to know all of the details of what falls between point “A” and point “B.” We do not even have to know where point “B” is. God will get us there…IF we do things His way.
[4] The Bible is full of fear nots. But there a few things thing we should greatly fear. 1.) an eternity without God 2.) placing ourselves outside the bounds of God’s will. Jesus said not to fear them that can kill the body but rather fear him who has power to destroy both body and soul in hades.
[5] Can anything be any clearer than this: Verses :7-8, contain a cause and effect PROMISE that if we repent of haughty spirits and pride (from being “wise in our own eyes,”) and develop a reverential fear of God and walk in spiritual health, then He will grant health to our physical bodies. Jesus spoke of the spirit/physical connection when said if our [spiritual] eyes be clear then our [physical] bodies would be full of light (health).
[6] Our bone marrow produces blood cells, called red blood cells, platelets, and white blood cells. Leviticus 17:11 tells us the life of the flesh is in the blood. Proverbs 3:7-8 is another example of science proving the Bible is true and also an amazing [conditional] promise of God’s healing provision for his children.
[7] These two verses speak to a cause and effect Bible promise. It is material substance we are asked to honor the Lord with, and it is material provision promised in return.
